Introduction
JJ_curvealign.py lets you position geometry at the start of a curve, oriented to the curve, and optionally gives you the ability to scale or rotate the profile before you extrude. It's often quite fiddly to do this manually. It works in a very similar way to Pictrix's Lightwave plugin (FirstContact).
- Quick way to align poly/polys in orientation to the start of a background curve in any orientation
- With the optional 'transform' argument lets you rotate or scale the polys at the start of the curve
- modo 2.0 only
Polys not currently aligned to the start of the curve
Here, you have a poly selection but it's not aligned to the curve. When you run the script it takes all selected polys (or all polys if none are selected), averages their normals and positions and places the geometry at the start of the curve aligned to the curve.

Optional Transform Argument
If you use the optional 'transform' argument you can scale and rotate the polys in situ.
